Nutritious Homemade Teething Biscuits for babies

Teething biscuits are babies first cookies. Teething biscuits should be introduced to babies when they are able to chew them safely. Generally, it is safe to offer teething biscuits to babies at 8 months of age but still you need to consult your pediatrician before starting teething biscuits beacuse each and every baby grows at different rate and teething biscuits could be chocking hazard, if baby is not strong enough to chew them.

There are various recipes to make teething cookies or biscuits for your baby. The following recipe is wheat teething biscuits made from wheat germs and whole wheat floor & could be easily made at home.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted at room temp
  • 1 table spoon sugar (preferably brown)
  • 1 1/2 cup plain wheat germs
  • 1 1/2 cup whole wheat

Method:

Wheat germs should be untoasted ones. The first step is to mix the milk sugar and butter in a bowl and beat well together. Then add wheat germs and wheat floor sufficient to make dough. Knead the dough until turns smooth then make small balls out of it and give them the shape of 1/2 inch sticks.Preheat the oven at 350 deg F and bake the biscuits until turns hard and brown.
