What could be more American than a apple pie?

You will find this recipe easy to follow, but with a real homemade flare. The pie is baked with granny smith apples, which makes it just a little tart. The crust for this pie is made with Pillsbury ready made pie crust. Which is a snap! Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if you like.


  • 5 Peeled and cored granny smith apples
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 package of Pillsbury pie crust.


1. Slice apples and soak in water with lemon juice.

2. Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, vinegar in a large bowl.

3. Drain apples and place them in the bowl, stir to coat apples.

4. Follow the easy directions on the pie crust box.

5. Bake for 40-45 minutes at 425 degrees.
