Most all chicken finger recipes are good, but are they healthy? One of the most used recipes call for breading your chicken, which adds extra fat and calories.

This recipe keeps those extra calories and fat out by using spices instead of breading. By marinating your chicken in the spices you are letting the rich flavors soak through your meat. Most importantly your chicken fingers will be as healthy as they are good.

Cooking time: 10-12 minutes
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Serves: 4-5


  • 1 pound boneless, skinned chicken strips
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 3 teaspoons onion flakes
  • ¼ cup Italian dressing
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder


Put chicken in a shallow bowl.

Add all other ingredients over the strips.

Marinate chicken in the refrigerator for at least a hour.

Spray frying pan with cooking spray.

Add the chicken with 2 tablespoons of olive oil in pan.

Cook for 4- 6 minutes on each side, and meat is golden brown.
