What is a omelet?

An omelet is made from cooked eggs that have a filling folded inside. Many fillings can be used, the most popular is cheese, but they are often served with crumbled sausage, bacon, onions, or just about anything. This is a good recipe for lunch or brunch. It really doesn’t take long, just be sure to watch your timing, so the omelet doesn’t over cook.

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2/3 cup grated reduced fat cheese

Method

1. Spray pan or griddle with non-stick cooking spray.

2. Whip eggs well.

3. Pour onto medium high pan.

4. Cook until almost done, 2-3 minutes.

5. Add cheese in the center of the egg.

6. Fold egg over and cook for 2-3 more minutes.
