I remember the time when the local restaurants back in the 50’s and 60’s all had their own special hamburgers, each with a distinct flavor of it’s own.

These days it is really enjoyable to find a burger with a unique flavor. So the next time you make burgers at home, don’t settle for a plain beef burger. Jazz it up with a flavor of it’s own. Try adding different ingredients to your taste. This recipe is the favorite jazzed up burger in our home.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Serves: 4 large burgers

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon beef or steak seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons dried onions
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 hamburger buns
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 2 slices of tomatoes
  • 2 thin slices of onions
  • 2 large lettuce leafs

Method

Combine ground beef with all the spices.

Form into 2 large hamburgers.

Fry burger on medium high for about 5 minutes on each side, or according to how you like it cooked.

Place the burgers on the buns, cover with a slice of cheese, spread mayonnaise on top bun.

Add the tomatoes, onions, and lettuce.

Beef Burger is ready to serve.
