Deviled eggs can be served as a hors d’oeuvre, or as a side dish.

They are good for picnics, barbecues, or just about any time. Plus, they are good for you, and you need not worry about them ruining your diet. At the same time they are fun and easy to make. You can even make them ahead of time, and enjoy them later. If you have never made them, now is the time to start.

  • 6 large eggs
  • Ice water
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper
  • Paprika


1. Cover eggs in water and bring to a rolling boil.

2. Cover pan and remove from heat, let stand 10 minutes.

3. Drain and cover eggs in ice water, until cool.

4. Peel eggs, and cut in halves.

5. Scoop out yokes into small bowl.

6. Mash yokes, add mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

7. Spoon mixture into eggs.

8. Dust with paprika.
