Nutty Chicken Strips

If you enjoy chicken strips, why not prepare them with a mouth watering, Dijon coating, rolled in nuts.

This recipe is very easy to prepare, but you can make your own chicken strips by taking a chicken breast and slicing it into 1 inch slices. Then coat and cook the strips. Precooked strips save time, and are easy to prepare, and just as good. The strips are very good dipped in a ranch dip or sour cream.

Cooking time: 3-6 minutes (according to package)
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Serves: 2


  • 8 oz. frozen or fresh chicken strips, fully cooked
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • Dash of salt and pepper
  • Walnuts, chopped


1. Combine mustard, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper, and stir.

2. Microwave strips for 1 minute.

3. Pour mixture over chicken so it is covered.

4. Roll in nuts.

5. Finish cooking according to instructions on package.
