Hot & Spicy Ginger – Garlic Chili Chicken

Chicken recipes are most in demand non veg recipes from south Asian cuisine. Following recipe is ginger garlic rich chili chicken cooked in pure Indian style which contains all required to attract your taste buds. Try out this wonderful quick chicken recipe at home and get appreciation from everyone.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lb fresh skinless, boneless chicken, cut into small cubes approx 1 inch
  • 2 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 -3 tbsp corn floor
  • 2 tsp fresh green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp ajinomoto salt (optional)
  • 1 tsp sugar (optional)
  • Few cilantro leaves, finely chopped
  • Oil for frying
  • salt as per taste

Method:

In a mixing bowl, combine egg, salt, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp corn floor, then add chicken pieces into the mixture, stir well and set aside for half an hour to allow chicken to marinate. When chicken is done, heat oil in a non stick frying pan and fry the chicken pieces until turns golden brown from all the sides. Then heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok, add chopped onion and fry for 1-2 minutes then add ginger -garlic paste and green chillies and stir for a minute.

Add green and red bell peppers and again saute for about 4-5 minutes. Add chicken broth and when it starts boiling, add white pepper, black pepper, red chili powder, salt, sugar, left soy sauce, ajinomoto salt and stir again to mix. Add chicken pieces and cook for next 8-10 minutes. Meanwhile, to thicken the curry, dissolve remaining corn floor into half cup water, mix well and pour over the chicken pieces.

Keep stirring continuously to make lump free curry, cook for few minutes until get desired curry consistency. Garnish it with green onions and fresh cilantro leaves. Spicy chili chicken is ready. Serve this yummy dish hot along with rice.
