Steak with Potato Wedges and Spinach

This is a very easy and quick beef steak recipe which you can make in under 5 minutes.

This rump steak we will cook on butter! This is really tasty, but just to let you know, it will make smoke while you fry it. So be careful if you don’t want to disturb anybody around! And the most important in cooking the steak, move it all the time! Never stop, until is ready! Only like this it will be juicy.

Cooking time: 40 min

Ingredients

  • 500g  pack of frozen wedges potatoes
  • 300 gfrozen spinach
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 4 slices of rump steak
  • 4 tbsp of butter
  • Salt, sugar, olive oil

Method

Preheat your oven (250C). Put your frozen wedges in a pan and leave it there for 15-20 min.

Unfreeze your spinach using colander and hot water. Dry it properly.

Heat your frying pan over a medium heat, put there some olive oil and add the spinach, garlic and a bit of salt. Mix well and fry for a 10-15 minutes.

Meanwhile, put another frying pan over a high heat. Take your 4 slices of rump steak and spread a bit of salt on the both sides of each steak.

Put 1 tbsp of butter in the frying pan and add a tea spoon of sugar on the top of the butter which should be already melted.

Put one of the rump steaks in the frying pan and move it in the frying pan. Don’t stop moving until it will have a nice brown colour. Turn it upside down, move it around… And don’t stop until it looks like is ready to be served!

Do the same with the other 3 steaks, adding the butter and the sugar each time.

When you finish with the steaks, the spinach and potatoes should be ready! Enjoy!
